has stopped it.
Which of the listed moves for White is best?
SOLUTION
a) h2-h4: Not a good move. No points
b) Ng1-f3: Developing a piece, towards the centre, but missing the chance to win material. No points.
c) Bc1xh6: Winning a knight, because if g7xh6 then Qxf7 is mate. However the reply Qf6 is a good reply. However, as Bxh6 is normally given in notes onscholar's mate, 2 points.
d) Bc1-g5: Winning the black queen. 2 points
